Troy Preview

Well, another week, another set of Trojans to face. Let’s hope this edition has a happier ending than last weeks…..Since I’m wearing my lucky Buckeye shirt today (and I didn’t last week) I feel pretty sure we’ll emerge with a win over the Troy Alabama Trojans.

However, if the team plays the way they did against Ohio University two weeks ago, the outcome will not be happy. The problem facing the team isn’t physical, there’s sufficient talent to do what’s necessary, it’s psychological. If they show up with passion and confidence, they’ll easily cover the 21 point spread. If they have any signs of hangover, or are thinking about next week’s game, look out!

Anything can happen, but what I think will happen is that they sleep walk for a half, wake up, then pull away for the win. But I don’t see them covering the spread this week given the trials and trauma of the last week. Here’s to hoping I’m wrong and that they’re motivated, confident, passionate, and sharp and proceed to dismantle this set of Trojans.
