Well, strength of schedule improved this week with opponents going 8-2 this week bringing the aggregate record up to 14-7. Troy’s beating at the hands of LSU was postponed until November and USC was idle.

Youngstown State (0-2) - 7-40 lost to South Dakota State away. Conclusion: Unexpected Loss (Guess SDSU is at least as good is OSU from the point differential…)

Ohio University (0-2) - 14-26 lost to Ohio State away. Conclusion: Expected Loss

USC (1-0) - Idle.

Troy (1-0) - at LSU postponed until November 15, 2008.

Minnesota (2-0) - 42-17 beat Bowling Green away. Conclusion: Expected Win

Wisconsin (2-0) - 51-14 beat Marshall at home. Conclusion: Expected Win

Purdue (1-0) - 42-10 beat Northern Colorado at home. Conclusion: Expected Win

Michigan State (1-1) - 42-10 beat Eastern Michigan at home. Conclusion: Expected Win

Penn State (2-0) - 45-14 beat Oregon State at home. Conclusion: Quality Win

Northwestern (2-0) - 24-20 beat Duke away. Conclusion: Unexpected Win

Illinois (1-1) - 47-21 beat Eastern Illinois at home. Conclusion: Expected Win

Michigan (1-1) - 16-6 beat Miami of Ohio at home. Conclusion: Expected Win

Bowl Opponent - TBD

If OSU opponents keep winning at this rate, the strength of schedule will be unreal. Playing IAA YSU was a problem, it’s even more of a problem when they prove to be a bad IAA team…
